DESCRIPTION:Can you sleep rough for one night to help those who do it every night? \nHope’s Big SleepOut has\, for the past 11 years\, raised over £20\,000 each year for those who are homeless and vulnerable in our community. \nThis year we want to make the event our biggest one yet! \nHere at Hope we are quite mean and want you to experience a simulated night of homelessness for in one of the coldest months of the year – February \nWe want to give you the most real experience we can in 2023 – sleepout for 12 hours\, just a sleeping bag a cardboard/plastic shelter (no tents) in the car park of Goodwill Solutions. \nBring your friends & family\, come as a team from work or on your own and we’ll put you in a team. \nWe’ll have challenges/activities throughout the evening such as ‘Build your own shelter’ competition\, live music and bedtime story time. \n‘Sleep -In’ Virtual Event\nDo you have young children or wish to take part but would find sleeping out too challenging? For the second year in a row\, we are running a virtual sleep out. Pledge to set up a shelter in your home on a hard floor\, experience what it’s like to sofa surf and sleep on your sofa. Perhaps build a den with the children under table\, lay cardboard on the landing or sleep in the bath!  Choose a night to ‘Sleep-In’ for Hope or Join everyone taking part on the 4th by Zoom link. On the night take part in a range of activities such as shelter building\, and poster designing. Try and sleep and join us again in the morning to share your experience. \nIt is a great way to to think about how it might feel to be homeless and to sofa surf. Take part (albeit virtually) in our Big Sleep Out Event to raise money to help those who experience this every night. \nYou can sign up using the same Eventbrite link\, just select the ‘Sleep-In’ option. \nWhy sign up? \nMany people sleep on the streets of Northampton and hundreds more need help feeding themselves on a weekly basis. \nWith the cost of living climbing every week\, these figures see no sign of going down or even stabilizing. \nWill 2023 be the year when you make a difference to the lives of those who are most vulnerable in our community – and have fun raising sponsorship at the same time as well? \nDate: Friday 3rd – Saturday 4th February \n£5 entry \nTime: 7:30pm-7:30am \nWhere: Goodwill Solutions  \n1056 Deer Park Rd\, Northampton NN3 6RX \nOr book to take part in our Virtual ‘Sleep-In’ event! \nGet Tickets Here

SUMMARY:Junior Big SleepIn 2023
DESCRIPTION:If you are under 18 and fancy helping those in need this new year\, then we want you to take part in our Big SleepIn. \nYou can either take part on a date of your choosing or take part in our junior event on the same night as our adult Big SleepOut event. \nWe are encouraging all young people to sign up and sleep somewhere in their home that’s less comfortable than their beds (could be under their beds\, the kitchen floor\, in the bathtub – use your imagination). \nIt’s free to take part in\, all we ask is that you try to raise as much sponsorship as possible. \nDuring the evening\, participants will be encouraged to come online with a Hope member of staff/volunteer and take part in games and activities (including building a shelter to sleep under). \nClick here to sign up: https://Hope-Centre-Big-SleepOut-2023.eventbrite.co.uk \nOr get in touch for more information: events@northamptonhopecentre.org.uk \nOnce signed up\, participants will receive more information. \nSleep uncomfortably for one night\, so others don’t have to.
